InterWell 2021
The major InterWellTM 2021 release brings a lot of new functionalities in the software, to enrich the data conditioning and seismic characterization capabilities. This version also contains a brand-new time-depth conversion workflow. The survey migrator is of course always available and updates directly your former or current studies to immediately enjoy the new version. The licensing system has been reviewed and now provides more options within the same “base” license bundle: the standard and azimuthal inversions, the complete seismic fracture and matrix characterization workflows, along with the new time-depth conversion capabilities.
The data conditioning and the database management have been extended, adding the depth domain for seismic and horizon data, as well as key features to precisely control seismic gathers through direct map extraction. These new tools are designed to help supporting angle-range decision while stacking, and can drive, if necessary, the gather pre-processing before stack.
The seismic characterization offer has significantly grown with new machine learning capabilities. Options have been added to the existing discriminant analysis either to better handle distribution bias in complex cases for lithology prediction or to propose a nested approach, complexifying at each step the discrimination problem. Before applying the multi-variate analysis, it is now possible to test its prediction capability, including the computation of the RMS error. In addition, brand-new automatic traces classification is available, in its supervised and un-supervised versions, to extract a zonation map from interpreted or raw 3D data. Finally, it is possible to extract connected geobodies, from any attribute with detailed analysis options.
This version offers a brand-new time-depth conversion workflow which allows to build a velocity model from wells, horizons and seismic velocity, while ensuring a perfect tie between the model and the well markers. You can convert any seismic or horizon from time to depth, and reversely, directly in the software and analyze your results in depth domain.
